Student Property Refurbishment in Oxford
The refurbishment project at Cowley Road, Oxford, was planned to transform an existing property into modern student accommodation, with improvements across the building’s interior, double storey extension and communal spaces.
The scope of works included a comprehensive property refurbishment, beginning with the clearance of existing fixtures and fittings, alongside repairs to the original staircase and preparation of the building for its updated layout.
Internally, the specification covered the refurbishment of bathrooms and en suites, including new sanitary ware, shower fittings, vanity units and tiling. The kitchen was also included in the renovation programme, with new units, worktops and appliances specified to create a practical space for shared living.
Further improvements included electrical and lighting upgrades, heating installations, replacement internal doors, new flooring and painting and decorating throughout. Particular attention was given to the requirements of student accommodation, including security, durability and compliance with relevant HMO standards.
External works were also included in the project specification, covering roof repairs and replacement, windows and doors, exterior decoration and improvements to the rear garden and parking areas.
